MILAN EDITA "SPELL" DE PATRICK STUMP

SPELL
ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK
WITH MUSIC BY FALL OUT BOY’S PATRICK STUMP

PATRICK STUMP DEBUTS MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW ORIGINAL BALLAD
“DEEP BLUE LOVE”

NEW YORK, NY – Milan Records, an imprint of Sony Music Masterworks, announces the release of SPELL (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK) with music by chart-topping singer, songwriter, musician and member of Fall Out Boy PATRICK STUMP.  Available everywhere now, the soundtrack features music from Crush Pictures’ award-winning, darkly comedic psych-thriller, with Stump’s original compositions capturing the emotionally driven narrative.  Also premiering today is a new visual from Patrick Stump for the soundtrack’s lead offering “Deep Blue Love,” a soulful, blues-tinged ballad performed by Stump and recorded exclusively for the project – watch here.  Spell made its prize-winning debut at last year’s LA Film Festival, is out in theaters now and will be available on VOD and DVD beginning Tuesday, November 19.
“Brendan gave me a real chance as a composer,” says PATRICK STUMP of working with director Brendan Walter on the soundtrack to Spell.  “I was allowed to explore elements of my writing that I could never have without the narrative of the film.”
“As fans of Milan’s catalogue, as well as their commitment to artists and black magic, we’re super excited to partner on this release for Spell,” adds Crush Pictures’ JON LULLO.  “It’s a perfect home for Patrick’s unique score which helped create the magical Icelandic world depicted in the film.”
Following the unexpected death of his fiancée, an American illustrator embarks on a soul-searching journey across the isolated Icelandic countryside, only to become drawn into a supernatural world of ancient runes and secrets - unless it's all in his head.  Produced by Jon Lullo for Crush Pictures, written by Barak Hardley, and directed by Brendan Walter, Spell stars Barak Hardley, Jackie Tohn, Magnús Jónsson and Birna Rún Eiríksdóttir.

MILAN EDITA LA MÚSICA DE LA SERIE HBO "EUPHORIA" DE LABRINTH

Milan Records, an imprint of Sony Music Masterworks, announces the October 4th release of EUPHORIA (SCORE FROM THE ORIGINAL HBO SERIES) with music by chart-topping, multiplatinum-selling artist and producer LABRINTH.  Available now to preorder, the album features score music from the first season of the hit HBO series and marks Labrinth’s first-ever project as lead composer.  Written and recorded in close collaboration with the show’s writer Sam Levinson, his original compositions feature prominently throughout the series as a sonic companion to the show’s angst-driven narrative.  The resulting 26-track collection is a genre blending mix of gospel, soul and electronic influences, indicative both of Labrinth’s imitable style as well as the show’s deeply moving storyline.

Of the album, LABRINTH says, “My experience with Euphoria has made me a better musician. It was a dream come true to give wings and add magic to the different storylines. It was a collaborative effort among Sam Levinson, the crew and the cast - I only added texture to an already phenomenal show. I hope that anyone who listens to the music embraces feeling something.”

Euphoria follows a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma and social media.  The ensemble cast of Euphoria includes actor and singer Zendaya, Maude Apatow (Girls), Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith and Sydney Sweeney (Sharp Objects).

Euphoria is an American adaptation of an Israeli show of the same name, and all episodes are written by Sam Levinson (Assassination Nation), who also serves as executive producer. The series is produced in partnership with A24 (Lady Bird, Random Acts of Flyness, 2 Dope Queens, Pod Save America) and includes executive producers Drake, Future the Prince, Ravi Nandan, Kevin Turen, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Tmira Yardeni, Mirit Toovi, Yoram Mokadi and Gary Lennon. Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin, who created the Israeli series, are also executive producers.

MILAN (SONY) EDITA LA PRIMERA TEMPORADA DE "SUCCESSION" DE NICHOLAS BRITELL

Milan Records, an imprint of Sony Music Masterworks, announces SUCCESSION: SEASON 1 (ORIGINAL SERIES SOUNDTRACK) with music by Academy Award-nominated composer NICHOLAS BRITELL (If Beale Street Could Talk, Moonlight, The Big Short and Vice).  Along with his impressive resume of film and television scores, Nicholas Britell was most recently nominated for a 2019 Emmy Award for his work on Succession in the category of “Outstanding Original Main Title Theme.”  Available Friday, August 9, the soundtrack features music from the critically acclaimed HBO series, which was nominated for a total of five Emmy Awards including Outstanding Drama Series.  The show returns for its highly anticipated second season on Sunday, August 11.

Of the soundtrack, composer NICHOLAS BRITELL says, “I am so excited to be releasing this music from Season 1 of Succession. The score features a juxtaposition of strings, winds, brass, pianos, odd electronic textures, 808 bass, and hip-hop beats. From the earliest stages of working on the show, I hoped for the music to have a sense of old-world gravitas, while also feeling strange and - at times - absurd. I've loved collaborating with Jesse Armstrong and Adam McKay to craft this musical landscape for Succession."

Created by Oscar and WGA nominee Jesse Armstrong (In the Loop), with the pilot written by Armstrong and directed by Oscar-winner Adam McKay (The Big Short),Succession tracks the lives of the Roy family as they contemplate their future once their aging father begins to step back from the media and entertainment conglomerate they control.

Set in New York, Succession explores themes of power, politics, money, and family. Logan Roy (Brian Cox), the tough, powerful, aging patriarch, is head of Waystar Royco, a family-controlled international media conglomerate. He is married to his third wife, Marcia (Hiam Abbass), a loving, formidable partner. The Roy family, which includes troubled former heir-apparent Kendall (Jeremy Strong), his outspoken, fun-loving brother Roman (Kieran Culkin), and his savvy but conflicted sister, Shiv (Sarah Snook), jousting for power as they struggle to retain control of their father's empire. Connor Roy (Alan Ruck), Logan’s eldest son, and only child from his first marriage, has pursued an independent life in New Mexico.

The season one cast includes Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Hiam Abbass, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, Natalie Gold, Peter Friedman and Rob Yang.

Succession season one credits include: created by Jesse Armstrong; executive produced by Jesse Armstrong, Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, Will Ferrell, Jane Tranter and Mark Mylod.  Jesse Armstrong serves as showrunner.
